The Beatitudes for Women

Including a feminine perspective in the Roman Catholic Church is essential because women’s lived experiences deepen the Church’s understanding of faith, family, suffering, and care, making its teachings more fully reflective of the whole People of God. When women’s voices are heard and valued, the Church is better equipped to discern wisely, minister compassionately, and witness credibly in a world shaped by both women and men.

At the February 1st liturgy, this blessing written by Sister Elizabeth Lee, a Maryknoll, was read. Click here to view the prayer in A Maryknoll Book of Prayer
